Here’s how to get web content ideas for your new website. While you can use other peoples content such as articles from article sites or public domain sites I don’t recommend that you do this because you can’t make changes to them meaning that if an article isn’t optimized properly within the article you can’t change it and the articles content will be useless to you as far as attracting visitors to your website.
Many say that duplicate content will get your website penalized by the search engines. I have yet to find that to be the case from my own experiences. I own several websites and have used some of the content from one website for other websites without hurting my ranking in the search engines. I have had articles that have ranked on the search engines first and second for the same article that are on two different websites that I own. The biggest reason not to use other peoples content is that you don’t have any control over it. Besides it is always best to have content that no one has ever seen before.
Generally in the beginning most have plenty of web content ideas but over time the ideas are more difficult to come by. With the web you have at your fingertips a massive encyclopedia with a wealth of information. There is no easier or better way to do research than on the web. The information is there, you can bet on that. You just need to go and find it.
The place I get ideas for my websites are article directories. Because article directories cover so many different topics there is bound to be information about your websites topic somewhere in the directory of articles. Article directories are organized by category to make it really easy to find what you are looking for. Once you find your category you can scroll through the countless list of articles pertaining to your website topic to get new ideas to write about. Another great place to find web content ideas are likeminded blogs. Find blogs that write about the same topics that you write about to get new web content ideas . You are bound to find new ideas with blogs that have the same subject matter as your website. Here’s where you can go to run a search on blog sites. Forums can be a great place to find new web content ideas for your website. Join a niche forum that deals with the topic of your website. You will be surprised by how many ideas that you will come up with just by reading the posts on these forums. Saying that you have run out of web content ideas is a poor excuse when you have right in front of you a very powerful research tool where you can get more information than you could ever possibly use.
If your website is new it must have content on it otherwise you will only get one time visitors. You need to have content in order for the search engines to determine what your website is about. Updating your content on a regular basis will keep your visitors coming back if they like what your website has to offer. The more often a visitor comes to your website the better the chances that he/she will buy something from you.
